This year, Shimmer on the River is getting nostalgic for the decade of flower power, daisy chains, and far-out fun. Guests of all ages are invited for an exclusive preview of GM River Days, where they will be transported back to the 1960s with entertainment from BeatleMania Live!, retro-inspired drinks and fare from Detroit’s favorite establishments, the grooviest photo opps, and free, unlimited carnival games & rides.
For the 8th annual fundraiser, we are proud to honor Karen & Matthew Cullen’s commitment and support to our organization with the Shimmer Award as well as as a special unveiling at Rivard Plaza during the VIP Reception.
Guests are encouraged to put on their hippest threads and travel back in time to kick off summer in the most fabulous fashion. Dig it?
- 5:30PM VIP Reception & Special Unveiling, honoring Karen & Matthew Cullen
- 6:30PM Main Event featuring strolling dinner, open bar, live music, and unlimited carnival rides & games.
- 7PM Musical entertainment from BeatleMania Live!
- Carnival will remain open until 10PM
