John W. Stroh, III has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Stroh Companies, Inc. since May of 1999. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of The Stroh Companies, Inc. and its subsidiary SBC Holdings, Inc. (the former The Stroh Brewery Company) since 1989. Mr. Stroh is a director of Community Central Bank Corporation (NASDAQ: CCBD) of Mount Clemens, Michigan, where he is chairman of the Trust Committee. He is also a director of the Rock Island Company of St. Paul, Minnesota and the SRAM Corporation of Chicago, Illinois. Involved in various civic activities, Mr. Stroh is a member of the Board of Directors of the Detroit Institute of Arts and serves as Vice-Chairman and member of the Executive, Audit and Building Committees. He is a Director of the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and member of the Planning and Finance Committees. He also serves as Trustee of the Detroit Downtown Partnership. Mr. Stroh is a graduate of the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School and he is a graduate of the Siebel Institute of Technology, course in brewing technology. He received his bachelor's degree in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio in 1982.
