Leonard Marszalek
COO, Detroit RiverFront Conservancy
Leonard Marszalek is a registered architect whose academic and professional career has spanned more than 40 years in Detroit. He currently serves as the chief operating officer for the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, which is transforming the Detroit International Riverfront.
A Detroit resident, he is a graduate of the University of Detroit, School of Architecture. He has functional in many professional capacities as a design and technical architect, program manager and project/construction manager and has several architectural and engineering design awards in his portfolio.
Marszalek's experience in development and property management has attuned him to the strategies for success on significant projects and the operational issues in managing public spaces.
Marszalek was a part of the General Motors team, as program manager for the redevelopment of the GM Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit. He is a member of the Urban Land Institure, the American Institute of Architects and has been registered in 11 states.
