The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy has partnered with Detroit Receiving Hospital to host "River Walkers" since 2008. The program's popularity with the Senior community has more than doubled its participation from its inaugural year. "River Walkers" is designed specifically for Seniors who want to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.  Participants meet up at Rivard Plaza from June thru August (and possibly September - weather permitting) every Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:00 AM for health presentations, dance fitness, chair aerobics, and walking.  The program is free and includes attendance prizes and refreshments.

Viva Southwest! This tour will first focus on bustling Vernor Highway, lined with taquerias and thriving retail businesses, Clark Park and Holy Redeemer Church. Next up is sprawling Patton Park and the community garden at Romanowski Park. We will cruise Michigan Avenue on the way home, with a stop for lunch at the classic Hygrade Deli. Ride distance: 16 miles. Community Partner: Savor Southwest Detroit/SDBA.

Grab your fork because life is a feast at Eastern Market. The Taste of Eastern Market series guides spectators through the preparation of seasonal recipes and introduces shoppers to the rich bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables Michigan has to offer.

Detroit put the world on wheels, and this tour visits many of the citys significant automotive factories, including Poletown, Packard Plant, Ford Piquette Plant and Highland Park Ford Plant. Learn how the evolution of the industry impacted Detroits population, ethnic heritage, politics and geography over the years.

The Riverfront Canine Club is a guided dog-walking group lead by Canine To Five staff. The group will meet at Rivard Plaza (1340 Atwater at Atwater & Rivard Street) to begin each walk. Meet a representative from Canine To Five at Rivard Plaza, submit your registration information and let the fun begin!
