The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy’s footprint continues to expand as parcels east and west of Chene Park prepare to open this spring.  Final touches include removal of the temporary construction fence, connection of security cameras and call boxes, as well as the installation of colorful spring plantings.

Further east of Chene Park, plans for the former Holcim site along Atwater Street call for spanning the current boat slips with a bridge that will feature a colored concrete walkway, lighting, security cameras, recycling containers and our iconic stainless steel railing.

Bids will soon be requested from several contractors, and the Conservancy expects work on this project to begin this summer.
