April 22, 2015 [DETROIT] - A sure sign that warmer weather is here to stay is the opening of the water feature at Mt. Elliott Park.  The popular water feature with the Great Lakes schooner shipwreck theme will open for the season by Memorial Day, perhaps even earlier based on weather conditions.

Since undergoing a complete transformation and reopening last summer, the universally-accessible Mt. Elliott Park has become a place for visitors to enjoy some of the most picturesque views along the Detroit River.  The water feature with its cascading waterfalls, water cannons and interactive water jets has proven to be a big attraction for kids of all ages.

In addition to the water feature, Mt. Elliott Park features lush landscaping, winding pathways, the riverfront’s third plaza and pavilion, restrooms, a café, fishing outlooks and plenty of seating options.
