The beautiful Detroit Riverfront and Dequindre Cut are featured in the article Rise and Shine Detroit in the March/April Issue of National Geographic Traveler Magazine.

Photographer Melissa Farlow joined members of the Riverfront Canine Club for a lively walk along the Dequindre Cut in October 2011 to capture images for the article.

Writer Andrew Nelson notes, "Something's happening in Michigan's southeast corner. Call it a rising, a revival, a new dawn-there's undeniable energy emanating from Detroit".
