DETROIT RIVERFRONT CONSERVANCY PRESIDENT & CEO, FAYE ALEXANDER NELSON IS THE RECIPIENT OF THE 2011 SOUL AND SPIRIT HUMANITARIAN AWARD

Faye Alexander Nelson accepts the Soul and Spirit Humanitarian Award presented to her during the 24th Annual Soul Food Luncheon hosted by Judge Damon J. Keith, a senior judge for the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

The event promotes goodwill and improved working relationships among the more than 500 business leaders and community activists participating. Honorees are cited for their contributions in their respective fields. Past recipients include the late civil rights heroine Rosa Parks, surgeon Benjamin Carson and Rep. John Conyers.
