The Dequindre Cut is going to the Dogs!
Join us for a very special Canine to Five Pack Walk featuring a tour of the DIA Inside|Out pieces on the new Dequindre Cut extension.
The July 17th Pack Walk group will meet at Wilkins Plaza located at the corner of Wilkins Street and the Dequindre Cut (3000 Orleans st.), and feature a dog-friendly guided tour of the DIA Inside|Out pieces on the Dequindre Cut with representatives from the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, operators of the Dequindre Cut, and Detroit Insitute of Arts staff.
This pack walk will be plenty of fun for you and your dog as walking as a pack gives your dog the opportunity for controlled socialization with other dogs and people, while also feeding their instinctual need for pack structure and traveling. Walking with your dog is one of the most valuable activities you can do for them, fulfilling their need to roam while building your bond together.
Plus, it’s a blast to be around other area dog owners, get outside and see all the great things Detroit’s RiverWalk and Dequindre Cut has to offer.
Parking is available in the Eastern Market parking lot at Orleans and Wilkins. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water for you and your dog.
