Cullen Family Carousel (Seasonal)
Instead of traditional horses, this carousel features creatures indigenous to the Detroit River, such as the egret, snail, frog, heron and sturgeon.
Whether it's your first time visiting or you're a regular who's excited to learn more, this tour will give you an overview of the history of the Detroit Riverfront and a chance to check out some of its most popular attractions, including the Dequindre Cut and Milliken State Park.
Meet at the entrance arch to Cullen Plaza (1340 Atwater) and look for the volunteers in bright blue shirts. Wear your walking shoes and dress for the weather! Guests are encouraged to bring water and prepare for an hour of walking outside.
*Please note - June 1 and July 27 tours will take place at Robert C. Valade Park due to events at Cullen Plaza. These will be mostly seated tours and are great for visitors looking for less walking.
