Our Mission
The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy (DRFC), a 501(c)(3) organization, is responsible for the establishment, improvement, operation, maintenance, security, programming, and expansion of the Detroit Riverwalk and associated green spaces. Through its public and private partnerships, the DRFC will support the development of the riverfront and provide community access to the waterfront.
Our Vision
The entire vision for the Detroit Riverfront is 5 ½ miles of riverfront, from the Ambassador Bridge to Gabriel Richard Park, just east of the MacArthur Bridge to Belle Isle, and includes the construction of a continuous Riverwalk along with plazas, pavilions and green spaces.
Our Promise
The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy will:
- Develop a collective sense of ownership, accessibility and responsibility
- Enhance Detroit's image to emphasize its iconic, international riverfront
- Create and maintain an inviting destination for all
