Please join us Wednesday, May 15 at 6 p.m. for the outdoor screening of our new hour-long documentary film "Ignore the Noise: The Transformation of the Detroit Riverfront" at Valade Park (2670 E. Atwater St.).

This fascinating hour-long documentary tells the story of how the Detroit Riverfront evolved from industrial, blighted and underused to a vibrant world-class waterfront featuring parks, pathways and greenways.

The story is told from the perspective of the people who played prominent roles in the incredible transformation over the last two decades. Vintage news footage and archival renderings are interspersed with interviews and candid conversations from key people throughout the documentary.

All ages are welcome and the film will take place in the terrace area of Valade Park
Popcorn and beverages will be available for purchase.

Park chairs and seating will be available for the first 50, lawn chairs are welcome.
