About This Attraction
The Cullen Family Carousel, located at Cullen Plaza, was specifically designed for the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and opened in 2007.
Instead of traditional horses, this carousel features creatures indigenous to the Detroit River, such as the egret, snail, frog, heron and sturgeon. Two of the creatures are an exception: the river mermaid and the river monster.
The Cullen Family Carousel is seasonal, open from Memorial weekend through Labor Day.
