About This Attraction

The William Davidson Sport House features a raised canopy and skylight covering two public open-air basketball courts. This flexible space will offer a range of programs and events for visitors of all interests and activity levels (and basketball, of course)!

The overall structure is over 28,000 square feet, featuring 33 steel columns and a 2000 square foot skylight.

The Sport House is named after Detroit philanthropist and businessman, William "Bill" Davidson (1922-2009), whose foundation granted more than $11 million to the ongoing transformation of the Detroit Riverfront.
