Stroh's River Place, Talon, Omni Hotel, UAW-GM & Harbortown

Stroh Stroh Talon Omni

New RiverWalk stretches for more than 1 ¼ miles along the East Riverfront, starting at Joseph Campau Street and Stroh's River Place and running East past the Talon Office building, the Omni Hotel, the UAW-GM complex,  Harbortown community to Mt. Elliott Park.

Special thanks should be given to each of these private property owners who, along with the City of Detroit, gave the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy permanent easements on their Riverfront property to build, operate, maintain and program the Detroit International Riverfront.

In front of the Talon and Omni properties, there was not enough land access to build the RiverWalk. So the Conservancy's team of engineers and architects built a pile supported walkway out over the water, creating a beautiful boardwalk along the space.
